Zero in Superior. The main street is lined with historic buildings, some restored for new businesses and others closed. I wanted to try the Jade Grill, but it’s shut on Mondays and Tuesdays, so I decided to have a budget day with grocery store food instead. I had a hard time finding decent sunscreen. People should be more obsessed with sunscreen in such a sunny place.

In the hotel laundry, I saw a guy who I think was another hiker, since he was only wearing a shirt and towel (I was wearing my rain jacket and thermal bottoms). I didn’t get a chance to ask him though because he was busy talking on the phone. Also it would be awkward to engage a stranger in conversation when part of their outfit is a towel.
