Zero in Warner Springs today. I had breakfast in the town centre with Katarina and Mosey, but forgot to pick up my resupply package and made a second trip with Peter later. Sadly they were only taking a nero and left in the afternoon, so I probably won’t see them again unless they’re delayed by the snow in the upcoming San Jacinto Wilderness. Substantial amounts remain according to a man from Idyllwild who does written and video updates on trail conditions (he has sombre facial expressions and a nature documentary-esque accent, so we agreed that he seems reliable), therefore I’m in no hurry to get there. Especially in high snow years, I would encourage future hikers to make use of his website.

When the others left, I found an actual chair and began reading a book borrowed from the community centre. Audiobooks are fine, but paper and ink is better! The community centre has charging stations, books, a water foot massage thing, and a makeshift store with everything an ultralight backpacker could need (hand sanitizer). By the end of the day I had finished ~400 pages, so I have ~100 left to read before I leave tomorrow. I also need to unpack my resupply box.
