I had a few chores to finish this morning. I thought that temperatures in Mojave would still be modest at this time of year, but nope, the thermometer is already hitting the low thirties Celsius this week. The heat was already so oppressive by the time I finished my chores that I chickened out about leaving at all. SO SHAMEFUL! But come on, six litres of water, six days of food, sweltering sun, no wind, no sunbrella. 

So I decided to stay another day and leave early tomorrow morning. Leaving in the evening would have been another option, but the information in the water report is oldish and I don’t have a definite water source before Tylerhorse Canyon, so I hope to only camp twice before that location.
